[ A couple of minutes later, Scott comes through the container door. He's slightly out of breath from running, but he goes to sit beside her. ]

Allison?

[ She's just going to lean on him now. ]

Thanks for coming. [ She kind of needed him. ]

[ He wraps both arms around her and pulls her in close. ]

I wasn't gonna stay away.

You want to talk about it?

[ She wraps her arms around him as he holds her. Scott always knows how to make it better. She just wants to lay in his arms for awhile, really. ]

He's my best friend, Scott. And if our friendship started because he was using me? [ After what Kate and Gerard did to her... ] I think you're right, that he means it now. But just knowing that it still started out that way...

[ He's okay with that. Scott rubs her back, and leans his cheek against the top of her head. What she says has him feeling uneasy and upset. Allison's had so many people treat her so badly. Gerard had taken her grief when her mom died, and used it to turn her into something she wasn't. Scott had barely recognized her. He can see why this bothers her so much. Manipulation of any kind would be horrible for her to face. ]

Look. He probably only said that stuff to get at me. I hate the thought of it, Allison. I get kind of jealous every time I see you guys together. Even now. He always knew that. I don't think it was ever about using you, I think he just wanted to piss me off.

He's your friend cause he trusts you and cares about you. I know he does.

[ She let out a breath somewhere between amusement and shock and just shakes her head as she holds him still. ]

You shouldn't get jealous. Then or now, Scott. You know I love you.

And even if he does now... if he still lied then?

He didn't. [ Scott says it more firmly this time, and brings his hand up to touch her face. ] It was about pissing me off. That's all. I'm sure that's all.

We'll see what he has to say. [ She answers him before reaching up to touch his hand. ] Thank you, Scott.

[ He touches her cheek, and leans down to nudge his nose against hers. ] You don't have to say that. I hate seeing you upset.

[ She doesn't lean away as he leans in, pressing her forehead to his and running her thumb against the back of his hand. ] You always know how to make me feel better. So yeah. Thank you.

[ He leans in and kisses her, because come on. He just can't help it. ]

You know I'm always here for you, Allison.

[ She makes that kiss linger for as long as she can. ]

You always are. [ She looks at him for a long moment, taking a moment to just... appreciate everything he is. Then she leans in and kisses him again. ]

[ Oh, well this...sure is a lot of kissing, which he's completely thrilled about. He pulls her in and leans into it, fingers moving to thread through her hair.

One hand finds that compass she'd been using to text Jackson, and he tries to push it away. If she wants a distraction, he's more than happy to give her one. ]
